Robot MCP connector
Robot MCP lets Claude control a simulated SO-101 robot arm on a miniature bench while you watch it live in the chat.
Set up in Claude
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Paste the server address: https://robot-mcp.lovable.app/mcp
- Click Connect. You are sent to Robot MCP to sign in (or create a free account) and approve access. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.0; you never paste a token.
- Ask Claude, for example: "Start a Tower of Hanoi session with 4 discs and solve it."

Read-only (free, no confirmation needed)
- list_missions
- List available missions and their briefings.
- list_my_sessions
- List your recent robot sessions.
- list_my_skills
- List your saved robot skills.
- get_scene
- Read a session's full scene and ordered action history.
- get_camera_frame
- Show the inline live 3D player plus a PNG camera frame.
- observe
- Free-bench: read every object, size, position and the gripper.
- list_mission_cards / get_mission_card
- Read your Lab mission cards.
- get_guardrails
- Read a card's guardrails.
- get_run_report / compare_runs
- Read run scorecards and compare runs.
- get_token_balance
- Read your plan and tokens left.
Actions (change your session, 1 token each)
- start_session
- Start a simulated mission (Tower of Hanoi or free-bench).
- pick / place / move_disc / go_home
- Tower of Hanoi controls.
- move_gripper / move_gripper_to / grip / release
- Free-bench controls; straight-line motion with collisions.
- end_session
- End a session and get its outcome and scorecard.
- label_run
- Name a free-bench run for comparison.
- set_guardrails
- Replace a mission card's guardrails.
Tokens and limits
Each action uses one token; reads are free. Free accounts get 300 tokens per month; see Pricing for plans and refills. A session allows up to 60 actions per minute and ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. When you run out, the connector replies with your balance and a link to Billing.
Privacy and permissions
The connector only reads and writes your own Robot MCP data (sessions, actions, mission cards, guardrails, token balance). It does not read your Claude conversations, memory or files. To revoke access, remove the connector in Claude.
Troubleshooting
- No live player? Ask Claude to show the camera for the current session.
- New tools missing? Disconnect and reconnect the connector, then start a new chat.
- "Out of tokens": buy a refill or upgrade on the Billing page.
